Win or go Home

The 2008 NBA playoffs countdown is fast approaching where 16 teams 8 from the western conference and 8 from the Eastern Conference go head to head for the ultimate price of the NBA CHAMPIONSHIP. Who will come out victorious? from the Western Conference we have the 4 top teams that has secured there place on the playoff list, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers, there journey has been a story to be talked about, playing there best game right now since there last championship rain in 2003/2004 playoffs they now have the best record in the Western Conference division and are voted most likely to be the number 1 seed from the Western Conference in the playoffs with a record of W49 L22 right now. Then comes The New Orleans Hornets with the unbelievable plays of New Orleans own son Chris Paul putting the team on the playoffs roster, followed by the Phoenix Suns with the help of Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, and the newly draft Shaq, also secure there position on the playoffs. We also have the 2007 playoffs championship winners San Antonio Spurs looking to continue there championship winning streak.
And on the other side of the world , the Eastern Conference division 4 best top teams with outstanding plays these season, Kevin Garnet, Ray Allen,Paul Pierce generally called the three MUSKETEERS and the Boston Celtics has been named the best team on the NBA with a record of W55 and L15 right now has been voted most likely to be the number 1 seed from the Eastern Conference in the playoffs. Then we have the Detroit Piston having the second best record of W50 L20 playing better than they have ever played in a long time. Followed by the Orlando Magic, and Cleveland Cavaliers with the great play of LeBron James having the best scoring record, averaging over 30 points per game.
Who will come out victorious? all teams has proven there superiority by qualifying for the playoffs but only one would walk away as a champion of the 2008 NBA playoffs 40 games in 40 nights, the truth will be told. would it be the Lakers, Hornets, Suns, Spurs, Celtics, Pistons, Magic, Cavaliers or others i guess we would have to wait and find out. in my own opinion the Celtics and the Lakers will triumph over other teams and meet in the finals and because I'm such a big fan of the Lakers I would go with the Lakers because they are red hot right now and will carry that same momentum to the playoffs to dominate the Celtics, plus the Lakers has a great defensive setup and make better use of there fast break shots. Let the truth be told.

Stats don't really matter when it comes to sports. Sometimes luck is a factor. Someone might get injured at the right time causing a major upset. Either way my allegiance goes to the Celtics. May KG finally get his well deserved ring.

There seems to be a few great teams this year in the NBA. I can't predict who will win it all this year. It could be the Lakers, Detroit, Boston, Phoenix. Also, you can't leave the Spurs out. Nonetheless it should be quite an exciting playoffs this year.
